Helping others during the Holiday season can be rewarding in many ways. There are many people with little to no income and not enough support from family and friends. It is not always about giving gifts or money. Sometimes, people want to connect and/or to share their favorite memories or have a meal with someone to forget about being lonely. By focusing on someone other than yourself, you can help relieve stress and make the Holiday season more delightful for someone else. It can leave a positive impact on yourself, your community, and those you help.
Last year, we had the privilege to help over 50 families by distributing toys and books around the Holiday season. To give to those in need, Toys for Tots and the Stafford County Police Department sponsored There’s H.O.P.E. Here for this event.
We are so excited to be able to host another event this year with our sponsors! We met a lot of great volunteers, people, and families. But most importantly we were able to teach our girls the importance of helping others and community service. The joy of spreading happiness and putting a smile on someone’s face is effortless and painless! And in many ways, could cost nothing.
